You dreamed of meeting that special man all of your life. You pictured how you would feel and how great it would be to say those three magical words, I love you. Yet, now that the time has come, you are scared.
You are not scared of being rejected. You know your man loves you as much as you love him. You are scared that it may not be romantic or it may not be memorable.
Life does not usually turn out like the movies. The stuff you see in movies rarely happens so it is important to not get too pressurized with expectations. You man might not even be expecting you to tell him that you love him.
You have any idea what he expcets?
Integrity? passion? romance?
You can use the feelings mentioned above to branch off some ideas and take them further in your expression of love for your partner.
Idea No.1
You can be very traditional and go the romantic meal route. If you are a good cook, that will get some brownie points. If not, then do not worry, just order ready made food from a nice restuarant. Do not forget the setting. Make sure it is soft and lit candles, romantic music etc. Through the night, you will know when the timing is right and then just say it and mean it.
Idea Number two on saying I love you
A great idea would to pick a very special location that means something to both of you and has some significance to your relationship. It could be the place you had your first date or where you met. Anything as long as it has some meaning to it.
You should arrange a visit to that special place together and take a walk or spend some time together. When you know and feel the timing is right, tell him how much you enjoy his company and that you love him.
Idea Number three on saying I love you
Not everything has to be planned ahead. You could just tell him that you love him by looking him in the eyes right at the end of a dinner date.
Idea no.4
You might feel that you are not confident enough to say the words straight out. Just try some of these more laid back ideas.
Try sending him a gift. Something romantic. Flowers will do just fine and you could send them to his work to make him feel special. Then attach a small note to tell him how you feel.
If the flowers are still a bit much for you, try sending your guy an ecard. You can find tons of these across the internet. Find one that has great eye appeal. Just make sure it isn’t too funny and it states the words I love you.
You probably realise that to take the relationship to the next level, you will have to tell him how much you love him. Go for it. It is often a very liberating experience.
